Don't be under the mistaken impression that more or less washers equals traction. It depends on what your car is doing. Having the rear roll center too high or too low will hurt traction when in the corners.

On corner exit, the test is very simple. If the car is loose and the situation gets worse when you apply more throttle, the roll center is likely too low and needs to be raised to reduce roll. If the car is loose and the situation gets better when you apply more throttle, then the roll center is likely too high and you need to lower it to increase roll.

Lower the roll center by adding washers. Raise the roll center by removing washers.

Before you do ANYTHING hunting for traction with your car, ensure your shock ends are screwed all the way in. 2wd cars without sway bars are extremely sensitive to shock down travel. Total chassis roll is limited by shock down travel much like a sway bar. Two limiters is the ticket on the b4.1, big bore or small bore, with the ends screwed all the way in obviously.
