Putting weight in certain places does have a performance advantage. I have seen guys run 1/4 oz and thats it and Ive seen 3-4 oz in chassis. Both handled extreamly well. Guys use it for balance or to enhance carictoristics of their car.

I run 3/4 oz on the RX side to balance the chassis left to right and 1.5 oz in the rear of the battery tray for a little more forward traction.

If I needed more steering or if the car pushed on power, I
would adjust my setup before I would add weight. Have you tried running without any weight added??
