AE Ball diffs are simple to set. Tighten the diff bolt down until its tight. (no gorrilla torq!!) Back it off 1/8 turn. Run the diff in the car and re-set after it seats in.
You do not want the diff to slip so you dont really adjust it so to speak. The ball diff delivers power to both wheels. The gear diff "diffs out" when cornering hard.

I should have said mine is MIP, but I think they are the same no? Maybe the diff gear is black instead of white?
My sons truck has 7k oil inside his gear diff and it feels tighter to me than my ball diff? Does that sound right? I wish I was a more experienced driver to feel the difference on the track, but not there yet.
