The best place to cut out if your truck doesn't have pre-determined vents is the side windows. Back when short bus started to get popular, and the pro drivers started racing it, they figured out to cut out the side windows. Like others have posted, be sure it is with the rules for your track.

Well that really depends on what type of driver you are and what type of driving you do. If you bash, yes. If you race but crash and break alot of arms, yes. If you race, hardly ever crash, and want the most precise control over your truck, no. RPM stuff is stronger because it is more flexible. Flex is not a desired trait in a suspension component. But if you can't finish a race due to breaking your truck, a little more reliability in lieu of precise handling, may be a worthy compromise.
