I did the the RC8 to SCT conversion for both the RC8 and the Mugen MBX6. The RC8 is a good 200-250 grams heavier. I decided to not bother with the RC8 to go down that road. I did with the Mugen. I did buy the SNR chassis and it saves a good 100 grams. Together with the CF towers and some Titanium and aluminium hopup parts it is a good 200 grams lighter then before. If you would do that with the RC8 you would still be at the starting weight of the Mugen. That said, there is a bit more to gain with the RC8, there is quite a bit heavy parts on the RC8 where the Mugen is already a bit more racy out of the box.
