Carbon chassis plates make the car lighter, can be made very strong and completely eliminate chassis tweak. But unfortunately; they reduce weight at the lowest point; where most of the weight should be located to lower CG. They also
don't dissipate heat from engines like aluminium chassis plates are designed to do.
That’s why manufacturers of gas cars don’t use them; it’s not to make money from replacing bent chassis plates. Some manufacturers use little flex with very strong chassis plates that are very hard to twist; but Mugen chooses to go for heaps of flex.
