Then as of late we have been using the older white spacer block* instead of the black.*( the part that goes in between the seals)

Why ?
Cus the black spacer block has just a tad of flash and can make the shock bind when you tighten down the shock cartridge ....
These Kyosho O-rings feel GOOD. I have always been amazed how good Kyosho shocks were sealed better than the Associated shocks!! I cant say they are for sure better or worse but I know Kyosho shocks are the best out and if I can use there O-rings I will. You need to dremel the ring spacer down .5-1mm to get that great feel since they are taller than the Ass. rings.
