Gearing will rule the day. However, running a 3 or 4 cell lipo would be a lot more efficient than a 2 cell, which results in less amp draw.

I've drawn over 20A just trailing (HH crawlmaster pro 16T on 4s) I wouldn't take a risk on a 25A esc. You could ask around, most people will recommend a 60A esc at a minimum.

Two wired in series or just one 4s. I've been through 2, 3, now 4. 4s is it...awesome power and super efficient. And get yourself a good esc...an MMP. You can run brushed or brushless with it.
