mine has about half a mil clearance sitting on the bench but rubs when on the track, probably doesn’t take much flex to make it rub.

that’s what I have found is the colder the carpet gets it really affects the grip level.
we stuck stuck with control tires so that’s an option I can’t use.
what shock setup are you using ?

I use the same as asphalt, hard front soft rear.
xpress ,team powers ,shimizu in the 55mm range all work well .
I usually use 36 front and adjust the rear tire to suit temperature and grip level
