As far as esc goes the only one worth getting is the hobbyking 45a. It's the only esc with more amps than stock that will fit under the (older body) not sure about the new body....

The servo tape I use would rather crack the case of an esc than come off. I have the servo in my mini 8 held in with shoe goo. That will never come off without a very sharp blade.

That's kind of true. That kit leaves you with a mess for the transmission. You'll still need the robinson racing transmission kit which is another $80. Then you have to worry about the diffs next...

You get a little less rotating mass but have a greater chance of diff failure.

That's a nice kit. To me all the shocks that come on the Savages are terrible. Even the 4 shock setup.

You can replace the stock 8 shock setup with a nice alloy 4 shock setup.

The hk 45a esc is supposed to be the best/biggest that will fit under the body. Think it's only like $20 too.

I can tell you for sure a hw 60a won't fit and I think that's the smallest 60a...

4 pole motors do not like timing/boost/turbo etc. You will burn it up. All you can do is gear it up. Bigger pinion and/or smaller spur gear.

Btw the vxl is 3500kv so your setup should be faster...

You bought a lower KV high voltage type setup. You need to up the voltage. I don't think you'll fit a 4s or bigger in a sprint 2. So either get yourself a 3s and run it or get a higher kv motor...
