Yes it is cracked at the lid springs. Came out of the box that way. It was cracked before I even opened the lid. Bummer. I went ahead and ordered 2 from Tower, hopefully they will be ok.

Been using this for years. Never had an air filter related engine failure. I buy it at the local motorcycle store and we use it on our MX bikes as well....

UMM I don't know. I don't take apart my engines and clean the internals. I haven't really seen a need to. I did have one years ago that the air filter fell off and I took it apart and just flushed it...

Looks normal, may be a tad rich but better than being lean. Also it could have that little bit of carbon from running rich during break in. I wouldn't worry about it, some people take their engines...

You should be safe by a good margin to do 7:30...

You should be safe by a good margin to do 7:30 pit stops with either pipe. We have no problem getting in the 9 minute range, even with buggy.
