Did you try recalibrating the ESC to the controller? Check you endpoints on the controller as well. Do you have the program card?

I agree. There is nothing in the manual to set the ESC for NIMH just turning off the LVC but like he said the battery probably cant provide the amps that the ESC needs so its just cutting out.

Does that ESC support NIMH? You need to change the setting from AUTO LIPO to custom or NIMH. Im drawing a blank on what the available choices are. I'll go look at my program box and get back to you

Check your ESC battery settings. I believe the default is for LIPO. Since you are using NIMH it may be whats causing the problem. Change the setting and see what happens.

If you check the hobbywing or hobbypartz website for each motor it will show in the specs if its 2 or 4 pole

Im not sure if that motor can handle the weight of the SCTE. You want a 4 pole motor for that truck. Is that the 70A esc? You'll want the 120A minimum

No. I did the rebind to the receiver a few times and I recalibrated the ESC to the radio a few times too and still nothing. Its got me stumped

The VE8 is based on the D8 which is an extremely durable buggy. The arms are very strong and its an all around solid car. Part support wont be an issue.
