Doh!

Well, I guess this falls in the category of having "a keen grasp of the obvious". A droop gauge is not a ride height gauge

I was trying to get the car up to the "3" on the droop...

Well, since I didn't realize there was a difference, there's at least a 50% chance

I'll check it out. I know my front shocks are 2.3", as I measured them to make sure they were the...

What have I done?

Well, I just took the front end of my XXX-S graphite apart & cleaned all the vearings, lubed everything, etc. After Iput it all together, I set the camber (-1), and set the ride height to about 3mm....

I'll check it out -- I think I've got it printed out in my notebook, but I can't say that I studied it in great detail.

I didn't think about the one-way having an effect in the straights... ...

Cool, all advice is greatfully archived for reference!

As far as stability, I've got two issues -- one is that the car wonders a bit down the straight. I was going to add a bit more front toe-in...

My rear gets wider every year...

True. The right way to do it would be to put the offsets on, try it, then put the corollys on, and compare.

Since I'm running a one way (not by choice -- I'm missing the parts to put together the...

Hmmmm...

Hmmmm -- I may have to throw them on and see. I've got a set of corolly tires that I bought by mistake that are slightly wider than the Jaco's, such that they rub on my chassis. 3mm would probably...

Well what is it / how does it work?

Well, let me ask this -- in what way is it offset? Are they wider? Or do they have more camber? In other words, in what axis is the offset? Any ideas how it works to make the turn in faster?

Should I use offset rear hubs (losi)?

I've got an XXX-s that was upgraded to graphite by a former owner. Well, this past weekend, I managed to break a rear suspension arm, and I noticed that the replacement had two holes for mounting...

Protoform Demon Head Decal?

Does anybody know where to get the decal set ( if it is one) that they used on the Crysler 300M in the Protoform ad that appears in the back cover of the April 2003 RCCA? I'd really like to get my...

I'd rather avoid "upgraded to G+...

Thanks

Yup, I've pretty much decided to get the XXX-S G+. I had the TA02 set up OK for outdoor, so I may just keep it as my parking lot basher, and my losi as my "serious" car.

thanks,
dave.

Used Graphite

Related to that, is there any risk of buying a used graphite roller off of somebody (i.e. ebay)? Is it possible for a chassis to get tweaked beyond repair, but look ok in the pictures? Or are they...

Graphite for newbie?

I've pretty well decided to get a Losi XXX-S to replace my old TA02. The main question now is do I spend the $50 extra to get the G+ graphite kit, or just get the regular XXX-S?

I haven't...

Opps!

Sorry! I meant the 58282 TA04-R chassis kit.

So, those three (Altezza, Raybrig NSX, Chassis kit ) are all the same except for the body? That would be very good news...

thanks,
dave.

Altezza vs. other TA04's?

Another question in my prep for the upcoming race season (I know, carpet is going full blast, but parking lot doesn't start 'til april here, and I consider carpet as "parkinglot-prep")

A local...
