My thoughts:

Diff would allow the car to roll through the center of the corners better and inprove turn in. Also would reduce front tire wear

I agree with all stated above, because we have many new onroad racers that are getting started on a budget or newer modeling skill set, it would have held up racers getting started and to the track...

It will and always does get down to splitting hairs... for example

No Optional parts on the can or endbell, well my TC4 motor mount has a rather large heatsink...

It is a basic fact that gearing is direclty related to how well your car is working and getting through the corners. An effecent chassis can pull more gear than a non-effecent chassis. Some may burn...

Cooling Device

No big deal either way for me... Lap times were the same start to finish with or without. I know others were asked to remove them locally and was just curious where the general VTA community stood on...
