And every day mylaps is working to make the mrt transponders not work on their system. I don't think it's worth the risk to save a couple bucks.

Your best bet is to buy your own. Fewer and fewer tracks have house transponders. Just make sure you get the mylaps hybrid 2 wire transponder, the 3 wire will only work with the lastest system but...
