I would advise to use the 6.5. The 5.5 is really too much unless you are running 4wd. The 6.5 when geared properly will be very fast like stated in one of the above posts but be more controllable. ...

I say go with the 6.5. You will have a hard time trying to control an 5.5 powered 2wd truck especially in competition when having to focus on driving against other drivers. The 6.5 is in no way...
