Could someone here share some knowledge on tuning the handling of these trucks?

I'd like to see a picture with the gasoline engine, ignition and all the other parts mounted.

If all fits well and the price will be realistic, I'd get one (silver or black)

Don't give up.
Get a temp gun and go for a heat cycle break-in. Even an engine heater may be very helpful for the break-in, especially if you're doing it in cold weather. Don't be afraid to just...

This is one strange little engine. After all the problems I've had during break-in and tuning, it finally starts to work properly. No more dying on bumps and it starts on the first try every time...

yes, I'd also like to see the pics with the 'new' carb.

Also, keep in mind that for some reason this engine has a really long break-in. Mine would run really crappy all the way to tanks 8-ish.

Cool. Let us know how it goes. Be very gentle with the throttle on the first few tanks and check temps often.

Not yet, but it seems that there is hope. It's possible that the complete break-in is very long for this engine. I've went though less than 2 gallons so far.

What makes me say that there is hope,...

Small update. Still got the truck, still working on it and it seems to be running a little better.

I've just started it up after about 2 months break. The needle settings are a bit off and I'm...

It's just a little magnet embedded in the flywheel. It's balanced with it and it doesn't stick out. It shouldn't interfere with the nitro conversion if the flywheel fits.

Exactly my situation. So far no fix for this. It's strange and I'd say a deal breaker as it is sort of a monster truck which is supposed to take this easily, not just running around in circles. To be...

Without EFI and remote start, the price seems ridiculous for what it is. I see absolutely no reason to buy this over the 5ive or the even cheaper dbxl.

Yes, the clutch is fine so far. It rotates freely and when running normally I can roll to a stop with the engine idling. Unless I break hard or turn hard without throttle, it doesn't die.

Right, did not think of that and it makes sense. Then it should be the carb settings. Maybe I need to raise the idle a bit.
