Thank you guys again.with you help found out that the pinion is lose on the shaft. So the shaft was spinning but the pinion not. So just tightened it up and am back in business.

Something else I forgot to mention about the batteries. The fit is pretty snugly. I had to put some pressure on the led in order for it to close on the two batteries.
