I can’t give specific numbers but a os p5 is a little cooler than the ct06 and the p4 is a little hotter than the ct06. I run a P4 in my Mephisto right now and it idled a little better than the ct06....

A OS P4 would be closer in heat range as the nova CT06 plug. If you ever decide to go back to a nova plug after using a OS plug it is recommended to use a new head button.

You are correct but I did not experience an issue when I used a p3 in my p5. Some instances you can adjust your head shimming to get the compression right for the plug your using.
