I see no problem with taking out the center drive...

I see no problem with taking out the center drive shaft and adjusting the knurled nut for the slipper. The knurled nut fits directly into the third bearing, which I'm glad about not to lose this...

Motor mount without the shim under the set screw? Yeah, that is just one thing that I did to tighten the motor. The other is to tap and screw the motor mount like I posted in my earlier tests.........

Tap the mount that goes on the motor. Close enough to the edge that when you install it into the larger motor mount you can use a screw and washer to pinch the motor in place as well as stop it from...
