Default BEC Voltage issues

Hey guys,

So I recently got a BEC. I'm using the Castle Creations SCT ESC btw... Long story short, I never unplugged my power wire to the esc. Last time, I sent this into Castle and got it resolved. When I plugged it in, the arming tones sounded off, when I gave it some throttle, the motor cogged and when I went full throttle, it burst into smoke. Well I didn't figure out until now that the power wire was still intact and its doing the same weird tones. I haven't applied any throttle to it since this has happened, is this fixable? Or am I totally screwed? TIA!

Send the motor, ESC, and BEC in to us for testing please. Might be an issue with your motor causing ESC failures, a problem with a MOSFET on the ESC, etc. We'll have to run some tests to figure out which is causing the issue. Running both BEC wires isn't a great idea, but shouldn't blow out the ESC.
