Default Ultima RB5 converted to brushless

hi there this is my first post so forgive me if I make any errors. I have bought an Ultima RB5 second hand converted to brushless with a leopard 9.0R motor. It's in reasonable condition with a variety of spares. I need to buy batteries and charger initially but want to gradually upgrade this car and replace parts that are a little worn. I want to tinker! I have a brand new body that is ready for painting too but need a new wing. I suppose as a start off I'm looking for advice on type of battery and charger to go for. I won't necessarily be racing this although want to buy decent parts rather than the most basic. I've been reading up on
Lipo etc but it's a bit of a mine field! Any advice as to my next stage priorities would be helpful. I'm returning to rc after 25 years when as a kid I had an interest and bought radio race car every issue! A lot has changed and looking forward to getting back into it as a hobby. I'm in the south Manchester area. Any advice would be great! Cheers mal
