Default Tamiya Minis?

I've always loved the M03 Mini Cooper. Obviously tech has moved forward since then and the M 05pro and M06 are offered? I'm not a racer or anything but I do enjoy a nice RC. Any suggestions for how to approach getting back into RCs? I know they lack a servo control and battery anything else other than the car itself I'd be looking into buying?

get the m06 if you want rear wheel drive, and the m05 if you want front wheel drive. go with one of the "pro" or "R" spec kits. they come with all the nice bits and oil shocks. you will need to buy a body, servo, esc, and motor. the plus of the m06 is it takes square lipo batteries.

From what I've been able to gather from reading so far the Mini Cooper body fits only the M05 right? And the 05 handles a little better coming through the corners? As far as oversteer you're more likely with the M06?

So from that I think I'll try for the M05. Just personal preferance. I've really been fond of the Mini Cooper Body since as far back as I can remember.

And I've got a few spare servos sitting around at home. I'll look into Lipo's and a Receiver. I'll try to use the one I have though if possible. Thanks fr the help!

The m05 only takes round type batteries.

If you go with one of the m chassis kits, go with a pro kit, or one of the special edition pro kits. They come with good stuff like bearings and oil shocks.

Reedy makes a round lipo pack that fits 'em though!

Most dont want to buy batteries specific to cars though.
