New to RC!! Looking at TC4 setup and have some questions
Hi all, I'm a big time car enthusiast and believe it or not, I'm getting bored modding my car lol. but I have this constant mod bug which I have to release it to something and it led me to here.
This is my first RC ever and decided to build one up myself with TC4 kit after lots and lots of research.
Looks like a new tc4 kit goes for around $150.
My budget is pretty low. $100~150 for everything excluding the chassis. Is this even possible?
I have my mind set on this motor and esc combo from hobbypartz
HobbyWing EZRUN Brushless System Combo B2 w/ 35A ESC & 9T@4300KV 3650M Brushless Motor
What do you think?
That leaves me about $70 left for other parts.
I'd really appreciate if you could link me to great deals on tx, rx, servo and etc.. that fit in my budget.
This isn't for serious racing or anything like that. Just some parking lot drifting fun with future potential.

The Flysky radios have, even after extensive modding/hacking, what even their biggest fans have to admit is perceptible lag. Even the cheapest Futaba radio will be better in the long run because what you give up in adjustments, you get back in response time.
The HobbyWing ESC's/motors will be fine for what you want to do.
A standard servo will get you started. Again, I'd rather have a name-brand standard servo than a Chinese un-brand one that promises unrealistic specs for the same price and when you get it, makes more more buzzing noise at neutral than the rest of your car does at full speed.
You need to be aware that the new TC4 kits don't come with a body (@$20 unpainted) and wheels/tires (@$35/set of four) so you'll need to factor that in as well.
Did you have a battery/charger in mind yet or was that part of the, "etc?"

i heard that the tc4 diff's are "correct me if im wrong" quite weak and maybe that motor would destroy them???
