Where Newcomers need to buy and don't need to Buy from?????
Hi, I am farely new to RC and I haven't bought my first one yet. I have been looking at all sorts of websites to buy from. I came across a couple websites with a HUGE price difference in the same exact product. I found the 1/8 OFNA Hyper Sprint Car (W/ 28 Pull Start Engine), only needs batteries and fuel on amainhobbies.com for $389.99. Now I found the exact same thing on RCplanet.net for $255.00 plus $38.00 Shipping. It's $100.00 Cheaper. So i was wondering if this is true or too good to be true? Anyone ordered from here?

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) is enforced only by certain manufacturers; not Amain. The variation in price usually means that a particular dealer either got a smokin' deal or they're trying to unload stock that's been sitting for too long. If it's a huge variation like what you're saying, I'd start looking at the fine print. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
The two places I shop at the most is A-Main and Stormer Hobbies. A-Main has a points system that gives you discounts on future purchases and they email you discount codes every month.
From what I've seen, you can also get really good deals from Tower Hobbies if your're a Tower Club Member (or whatever it's called) and combine that with discount codes/coupons.

Do not buy anything from RCBlast.net
I repeat, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM RCBLAST!!!!! This site is a scam along with rcdji.com. This has been discussed many times before. Be warned fellow RC'ers, especially newbies, and do not succumb to those deals that are too good to be true. You will get burned.
It still irks me when I see people referencing these sites. Those A Holes need to be shut down!
