Default Matrix 5SC Starting/Tuning Problems

G'Day All,

I bought my Matrix 5SC a little while ago and tuned it in but ended up doing a little too much tuning with the high and low screws on the carby and they are out of whack and now it wont start. I screwed both screws all the way in and turned the low out 1 1/4 turns and the high 1 1/2 but still wont start? I have a good spark and the plug is new, the fuel is also fresh?

I am desperate, my kids are driving me mad to get this thing going properly so any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!!

These take unleaded gas, there should not be to much to screw on.

Call them and get the factory settings, the instructions in the box say, you should not turn more than 1/4 period on either needle an if you do you will shorten the life of the engine...........

Those are the Baja carb settings and I don't know if they' re the same or not....

I dnloaded the manual from the CEN site, but it doesn't seem to mention the card settings....

Default Slippage problems

Thanks Token and Duster,

I managed to get it going using the Baja factory adjustments and a little more mucking around.

I think at one point i put too much power through the gears because when i give a bit of heavy accelleration something sounds like it is slipping and power is lost at the wheels. I still have power at the wheels but it is about 50% less than normal?

Any ideas as to what is causing this issue and how to fix it?

Thanks again for your help.
