New to 1/8 Off Road
#1
Hello all. Just like the title explaines Im new to 1/8 off road racing. Ill begin with a little background info on me. My name is Jon. Im 22 and have been into rc for 3 years now. Mostly traxxas vehicles, and mainly nitro. I can tune somewhat but never actually tried for optimum tune.
I have been visiting the local track for a while and have descided to sell of the bashers and buy a racer. Bought a LOSI 8ight B 2.0 RTR.
So what Im asking here in this area is "provide me with everything you can on racing. Stuff to get, stuff to remember, and things that may be pointless but should be stated just to be safe."
Links, Photos, Setup info/tips, ideas, and anything else you can find.
While your doing that Ill be reading the 500,000 pages on the Losi 8ight b topic.
Anything will be welcomed. Thanks
Jon.

Get a good many sets of tires for different conditions. Tires are the most important part of a setup.

Whats up...like he said the tires are probabaly the most important part of the set-up...my advice would be get a good charger and at least 1 extra battery around here theres not enough time to charge between races, with two you can switch them in and out...also get to know some of the regulars at your track, they can provide some of the best information you'll ever get.
