I have two boys (8 and 10yrs old) racing 1/12th scale oval right now which is going ok but I think they want something they can just play with in the drive way, house, parking lot, back yard ect. With a budget of 175.00 per car / truck whats the best choice for two kids to bash around with? I'm leaning towards the BND losi trucks since they can just bind em to their Spectrum radios and still be gaining experience with their radios.

You could look for something in the for sale section plenty of good deals there

Check out the traxxas slash. Great truck that can be upgraded almost non stop. Also most tracks have a class for them also! You could get a nice rtr stock one for 130 or so.

+1. That is a good beginner truck to run. Parts are cheap and truck is durable.

+1 I am getting my 9year old one aswell so he can start racing with me.

I have one of my own I race and have had it for over a year now and its been a great first truck.
