Default Frequencies and what not.....

I have been a long time RC enthusiast, but ive never gone to a track and raced. Therefore I have never had an issue with mixed signals. I have a SC10 Brushless on preorder that comes with the XP3-SS 2.4GHz 3-channel radio system. So my question is when going to the track how do I know what everyone else is running so signals dont get mixed? Wht if all my possible signals are taken? or is that not possible?

That the beauty of 2.4GHz! No crystal swapping. Basically the radios sort it out between themselves.

As far as racing, your race director will probably have a driver's meeting before the first race and explain qualifiers, numbering and transponders. It easy. Have fun!

The basic scheme of 2.4Ghz is that each TX and rcvr are linked in a unique fashion and there can be no channel interference. This unique link is set up when you go thru the binding process with the tx and rcvr. The rcvr will only pay attention to the TX it is bound to.

One headache i remember before the days of 2.4Ghz, was that the lower qualifying driver had to change his/her frequency in case it had clashed with the higher ranking driver IF they had run in the same heat. This was a major blow to the racing mindset and then you'd have to bring 2 pairs of crystals (minimum) to the race.

Not only during racing, its much more easier during practice and daily bashing to be using the 2.4Ghz system radios coz your car will never lose control because of a lost signal. no more frequency flags, no outta control cars...
