It is much harder to convert the RS4 rally to TC format because it is 200mm not 190mm, if your track dosn't mind you running 200mm instead of 190mm then there's non problem. To change to TC format all you'd have to do for both cars (provided your track dosn't mind you running 200mm for the RS4) is change the shocks and some minor setup.

for rally, i think the losi will be more resistant to dirt because of its sealed drivetrain. the hpi is also sealed but it relies on an interior shell, which may be a bit harsh on the motor, esc and batteries. its quite easy to convert them to TC, as they are based on TCs. they share most of the parts with the onroad versions.

Hey Guss,

I don't think I would bother turning your HPI Rally into a TC. I had one and tried with much frustration. Although, I thought the car was a blast to drive for fun. One of the most fun actually just to romp around with. About the width, I measured mine once and the front track was 190 mm with the rear at 200mm. Weird.

You are probably better off getting a good tc like the TC3 racer or the xxx-s. I didn't realize how much impact a properly tuned tc with all the tuning settings made until I tried it. Droop, camber, caster, rear toe in, etc, etc. It really works!

i currenly own a hpi rs4 rally and i love bashing around where ever i go! unfortunately ive burnt out the origional brushed motor- its eating up brushes in single runs, sending itself to the grave...

so i plan on getting my hands on a 13.5t "ERASER" (50370) by lrp and coupling it with a waterproof ai pro (80150) also by lrp.
i have a few questions...

fisrtly how much lipo power will this combination handle?

and secondly what gearing setup shud i get? (diff, spur, pinion ect.)

p.m. me info if you can help
or just post on this thread-i will be following this thread.
thanks, jim
