Default SC10 Noises

I have an RTR SC10. My truck makes a sort of grinding/crunching noise at very low speeds (2-3mph est). The symptoms aren't like that of the diff needing shims. I tore it all the way down and the diff looks fine, gears look perfect. Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks!

routine maintenance = cleaing the gears and bearings and rebuilding the diff

if you've done none of this maybe it's time

Well, as I stated, I tore it down completely and found nothing dirty. I re-lubed it and put it back together. I've only run it for a few hours total.

Any other ideas?

you are looking for a simple answer, and there is none

depending on where you ran it, a car/truck can get really dirty in a matter of minutes. "hours" is a long time in the rc world, it is like "years" in a real car.

as I suggested earlier, if you haven't gone through the entire truck and cleaned (not just dusted off) and relubed each bearing and replaced each gear and rebuilt the diff (and cleaned the motor with motor spray, and checked the pinion and spur gears) it is impossible to say for sure. having to do it is called routine maintenance

I rebuilt the diff. What should I use to lube the bearings and gears?

u might have put the diff in backwards. I know it looks identical but if its wrong u'll hear some noise at low speeds. same thing hapend to me when I changed diff fluid.
5000-7000 is a good place to start with diff lube. small bottle of bearing oil available at ur lhs
