Soldering the red wire
Hola!
I've a question on the "red wire".
There see to be several schools of thought on how the red (+) wire is soldered to the pos terminal on the battering.
The two most common I see is one where the red wire has a section stripped off and then soldered directly to the battery positive. The other is where a section of red wire is soldered on one end to the stripped section of the wire leading from the ESC and the other end is soldered to the battery positive (forming a sort of "T").
I'm sure there are pros and cons to either, but I'd like some more experience comments.
Anyone?

Basically it's what works for you, you can have two positive wires from the esc, two positive from the motor or you can splice one in the middle and have it go off to the motor or batt. As long as you have the positive wire go to the motor, battery and esc it will work perfectly.

The "T"
I like the "T".
Simple, easy to follow and one less wire to worry about.
Good luck!

me too, and i use the cyclone, and soldering 2 wires on those tabs sooo close together is a pain, plus, alot of the pros use the T method, lol.

I like the T as well, keeps the wires from flopping around.

An ESC regulate only on the minus, so going from the bat to the ESC to the motor is one soldering with resistance too many !
The red wire is best soldered directly from the batt to the motor. Afterwards you can connect the ESC red wire to the motor, to the bat or in the middle like the "T-thing".
