They dont. Its a great beginners stadium truck but upgrading it down the road is very hard to do. Not to mention not many hobby shops have parts for the duratrax anymore. Every shop has full line Traxxas around here.. Get a used Slash. Extremely durable, Fast and even water proof.

How about a RC18? They are in your budget, and come with everything you need to run. They are durable, and parts are found anywhere. Upgrades can be bought a little at a time so you are not breaking the bank, and just about anything you can buy for them is low cost, but not low tech. You can run them just about anywhere, including indoors if you have a little space, on-road, or off-road.

RC18's are junk, been there done that. They handle like crap, shocks suck, go through gears, steering sucks. This and I've been an AE guy for over 20 years!!!

Ive been racing 3 of them pretty hard for over a year, with brushless power and 2s Lipo. I have done several upgrades slowly along the way, but only for luxury and not for the need.
