Default Battery life

I just ordered the 1/16 E-revo vxl. I know I should order the lipo battery pack and charger but what kind of run time can I expect with the stock issue battery pack?

Depends on what battery (how many mAh), motor (not sure what stock is), and how you run it. Long full throttle runs mean shorter run time. Larger mAh battery means longer run time.

Post what batteries you are thinking of and folks can give you better estimates. I'm not certain but I'd guess 15 to 25 Min's. Thats my guess not knowing the motor and how hard your gonna run it.

It says it includes a 6-cell NiMH Power Cell battery and charger

The motor is Velineon® 380 Brushless

i asked my friend who has one and here's what he said....

Single nimh (1600mah) = about 25-30 mph (10-15 min run time)
Series nimh (1600mah) = about 45-50 mph (10-15 min run time)
Parallel nimh (1600mah) = about 30 mph (25-30 min run time)
2s Single Lipo (2200mah) = about 40mph (20-30 min run time)
2s Parallel Lipo (2200mah) = about 40mph (50-65 minute run time)
2s Series Lipo (2200mah) (4s) = about 60 mph and major overheating issues.
3s single lipo (2200mah) = about 45-55 mph (10-15 min run time)
3s parallel lipo (2200mah) = about 45-55mph (25-35 min run time)

so im guessing with the 1200mah stock battery you get about 8-12 minutes of good solid runtime depending on terrain and trigger happiness

60mph has to be major guess...that truck will never stay on the ground at that speed. Where is your buddy getting these mph numbers from

I did. Didn't really doubt it could go that fast just didn't think it would get there without major "blow over" issues with the stock body and no major mods.

the stock battery/batteries are plenty good if you are not ready to take the plunge to lipos. just the stock wallcharger takes forever. get a good charger
