so i decided to hold off on the 1/10 touring car and go with the new rustler for now... i want to eventually start racing on-road, but figured i'd get back in to rc w/ something that can do a bit of everything. plus, parts are easy to find, on/offroad, really fast right out of the box.

i found a package deal, but i'm not sure about the charger... should i get something lipo capable even if i won't need it for quite a while?

well guys, thanks for the advice
just dropped roughly 750 on a vxl rusty and all the toys ... 3s lipo, charger, anaconda tires and xtra wheels... hope its worth it

Lots of fun to rip around on the baseball field! I was throwing roosts 1 - 2' high. I can't wait until my LHS gets the 11.1v LiPo back in stock

i picked up a peak racing 2s 7.4v 4800 and a maxamps 3s 11.1v 4000... night and day. i already blew out my front left shock... a bit squirrely at top speed w/ the 3s
cant wait for my 3s 5000, charger, and balancer combo tomorrow. btw, the anaconda tires make a huuuuuuuge difference on paved surfaces

how does that 11.1v pack fit in your rustler? my friend has an 11.1v and had to do a little modification to make it fit.
can you post a pic of how it fits?
