Default Thermal Conductive Grease on electric motors?

Dodes it make a substantial difference in performance to use thermal grease between a finned heat sink and the motor?

i highly doubt it would make a great difference, i think it would be more of a hassle attracting dirt, just my opinion anyway.

I know in a computer a cpu runs about 115*f and with a better themal grease (like artic silver 5) the temp will drop about 3-5*f or more. Its not much but every bit counts!

I used thermal grease on my mamba 6800 brushless in my RC18T on the finned heatsink, i also ran a fan on it too. it kept it cool but i don't know what it would be running without the thermal grease.
