Default Gas/Electric Trying to be 100% sure

What would be better for me Gas/Electric of course. I'm a basher not a racer but I'd like to have a nice car/buggy/truck. I'm the kind of person that would like to work on what ever I have but not if it's hours of manuels and headaches. My real negative with Electric is that I'm a basher and that speaks for itself a mild 19t would only last me 4-5 min and it only gets worse towards the end. My gripe with Gas don't have to much experience with them but from what I've done it does take quite abit to keep the engine, electronics, setting's etc in tip top shape, but on the flip side I can run non stop full power... well until I run out of gas lol. I just hope I run into some people that have had both Gas and Elec. and tell me there true honest opinions before I go drop some dough on a $500 purchase. So far I think gas has more pos. than neg. for me but I can be wrong.

If you were to get an electric car I would suggest getting a brushless system like the 4300 or 5800, they would give similar performance (a 4300=19, a 5800=15 or so.) and would not wear out at all. I haven't had a gas car before so a can't tell you what would be better. But I know alot of people that use to race gas and now race electric.
Hope this helps, Drew.

dude ive got both nitro and elec......with elec the downside is u gotta have lots of batt packs orelse it gets boring....u get like 20 min of run time on 1 fully charged pack and i can get 17 min of run time with my savage on 1 tank of gas fully beating the hell out of it.....

if i was u i would go and buy the new savage X sS or a savage 4.6 SS the savage 4.6 SS is better because its got alot more upgrades....twin brakes, heavy duty dogbones etc... and it gives u a massive .28 size engine....

i got electric and its pretty much silent and abit gay....i love noise and in my world noise = SPEED.....lol..but thats just me

if i was u i would get nitro....

Ok I'm pretty much sold on gas but one last question say I had a decent brushless system with a decent battery pack how much time would I be getting running full power? I always hated when I had my stampede and the first 2-3 min were awsome but then it just showed signs to slowing down I hated that part

I race nitro and electric.

I race 19t 4wd touring and 8th open onroad.

I get about 7 minutes of runtime with my 10th tourer, and about 5.5 minutes of running with my Serpent.

if you want good run time, I say get yourself whatever vehicle you want to play with, truck, buggy, tourer or whatever, and go with a brushless setup and a Team orion Lipo pack. 19t motor is around 20 mins run time.

if straight runtime is what you are looking for, you cant beat it.

Wow very surprizing on how much time you get but at the end of the day I think Gas suits me better while needing more work and attention I think they have a bigger fun factor. But I would like to ask you about them for a Lipo Battery pack do I need any mods of any sort or would they just drop right in? Also I think I saw some going for $100+ what about the chargers for them how much?

OK.... ima break it down! $100 for a decent brushless system. $100 for a decent lipo charger like ICE or Triton. Another $20 for a cheap lipo pack and $60 for decent lipo pack. For that much you can get a used nitro truck and everything you need to run it. I got my Rustler off ebay for $230 shipped all I needed was gas and a glowstarter. Im loving my truck..

It's more like $300 for a decent brushless system and near 80 to 90 for a decent lipo battery.
