Default Tc3 or Losi xxx-s

Hi I'm asking a question for my friend who is starting to get into RC's. He wants to know which car kit he should get. He wants either the Factory Team Tc3 or the new Graphite Plus Losi xxx-s. I did suggest the tc3 but in my magazine i saw that the stock losi xxx-s not even graphite had better stats then the Factory Team Tc3! So now I'm really confused. Which one is better(Factory Team or Graphite Plus)? Both my friend and I want to know!

I really like my TC3. I think it is one of the best engineered i've ever had in the past 18 years of racing. The drive train of the TC3 seems to be a little bit more efficient than the losi. Very easy to work on and it seems like AE will be supporting this platform for a while to come.

Id say TC3 because i like the overall design, its pretty tough and i liked the way mine drove when i had it. That and the resale value is very good, a good condition racer kit can get you $100-$120 when new ones cost $149.99 so they are a great deal.

The Losi has more tuning options but that also means more settings to get wrong. The tc3 is a more durable car when it comes to wrecking. For mod racing, the Losi is better but in stock, the shaft makes better use of the limited power of 27t motors

Hmm... I didn't know that! Thanks. I use a p2k2 stock motor with my xxx-s. It runs pretty fast! I have a friend who has a Tc3 racer and he uses the p2k2 also! We've raced a couple of times and I've seen that his car was better in corner turns, but my won overall and had better accelleration. So to me they're both equal but I sort or like the setup of the Tc3 better. I'm trying to get a deal.

I'd always tell a new driver to get a tc3 just because of how easy it is to tune. By the time they ruin it, they'll know what to get.

Yes when I was starting Rc a friend suggested I get the Tc3 racer kit. Both my friends got it and I was going to but I went for the rs4 sport 2 which didn't turn out so good. Then I went on to a Hpi Pro 3, but because of my inexperience of building a kit, I didn't know how to maintain it. It was pretty nice though. Many hoppups. Then now, I have a Losi xxx-s which I like pretty much. My first kit that I built.

I drive the Losi and it seems fine. THe only thing I don't like about racing my friend who drives the Tc3 is that he has better corner speed. WHy is that?

I see, but do you think the belt has anything to do with performance like how the Tc3 you can get an aluminum shaft and the performance changes? Because what's the difference with the new xxx-s G+'s yellow belt? is it just colored or has something to do with performance?

I think on team losi's website it says it is "extra stretch". I dont know how that would help?
