What’s the difference between the new 4x4 Stampede VXL and the older version- sub question, why are the used older versions selling for almost as much as a new one? I can’t wrap my head around this- all I see used on Facebook marketplace are in the $250-350 range. Some are modified some aren’t , some are clean others are nasty, beat to death junk. A new one is $329! What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

What someone is asking isn't what they are selling for. I've found on FB marketplace, people love to low ball you and want to negotiate on price. So I always ask more than I want knowing I'll have to negotiate down.

Regarding your first question, I don't believe the Stampede 4x4 is offered in a VXL version any longer. The newest Stampede 4x4 uses the new BL-2S brushless system (VXL is 3S capable). At this point, the VXL Stampede 4x4 is the Hoss. The differences between the Stampede 4x4 BL-2S and the older Stampede 4x4 VXL, is quite a bit actually. The BL-2S uses the longer Hoss chassis, body, and I think uses a lot of the HD parts.
