Default Problem

Gday Guys,
I have an FW05S with 2 speed transmission. Everything works great but occasionally as im accellerating out of corners something slips and the car revs right out and it loses all its drive power, this only lasts a few seconds before it seems to catch again and i can keep driving.

I know it sounds like the gear mesh between the engine and transmission is stuffed for sure, but i know for sure that isnt the problem.

Anyone else experienced this before or anyone with any suggestions please let me know as its starting to really annoy me. Ive taken it apart a few times and cant see anything obvious.

Any help is much appreciated,
Thanks

What type of radio are you using? Are there any medal to medal contacts on your model at all? Are you in the 2nd gear when this happens? Did you check or change out the battery pack?

It sounds like a radio gulch, or even your steering servo robbing the power from your throttle servo. For e.g. a very low voltage battery pack can have very questionable outcomes. If you are turning a corner your steering servo is using more power then your throttle servo. Or interrupts the current to your throttle, giving you the high rev, then loss of power.

If you are in first gear when this happens, is it possible your transmission is not catching the 2nd gear in time? Your right it does sound like a mesh problem

I would check those things.
