Default To help ROAR save some money - Suggestion

Just a suggestion. How about when sign up you have a option to receive REV-UP via mail or email? This could cut down on printing costs, especially now that I find out that you can get Rev-UP online now.

Default Great suggestion

This is a great suggestion. How many of you would be interested in getting the RevUp online or via email?

This has been dicussed many many many times.

To me the answer here is to provide an email address when you sign up so you can get notification that the RevUp has been posted to the ROAR site. Download or not at your leisure. If you don't provide an email or would prefer paper, you will still get it on paper.

Default Another way to save money on RevUp

We could make the Revup shorter and save money that way....

I will admit. I mainly only read the Region 5 stuff. And I must say I am disappointed in the Michigan coverage. Not sure who to contact on that, o how to change that.

An email Rev Up would be fine with us.
I have to agree with the above quote. We ran the Regionals last year in Litchfield and never saw anything about the results anywhere!

nwilcox88 and dakotah97, send e an email at [email protected] if you want be help be some "Eyes & Ears" for Michigan. I'm the new Region Director and I don't get up there much.

There is a Regional (Oval) in MI in a couple of weeks and they will send a race report that will get printed. But in addition to that, I would like to post other info about all the states in the Region, it's a bit difficult to get infomation.

Anyone in Region 5 that wants to "Shout out" to the rest of the region, please forward a write-up to me. I'd be happy to get any information out to the masses that I can..... It's my job

Here's a suggestion: Put the printing and mailing of the newsletter up for competitive bid. If the budget numbers I've seen are accurate, ROAR is getting hosed when it comes to printing and mailing RevUp.

The last ROAR race we were to was the Regionals last September in Litchfield (I do have all the results). If we are at a ROAR race in Michigan (or anywhere else where there are Region 5 racers racing) we would be happy to send you a report/results. We appreciate your interest, thanks!
P.S. If you have any pull make sure they run Juniors at the Stock Nationals

once a year a new book is published.... regardless of the changes or not, the book would be published. And, yes, its a substantial amount of money to print up 6,000 books.

I realize the sarcasm you are attempting to put forth but c'mon..... would you prefer to NOT have a rule book? Would you prefer to NOT have ROAR rules in place in over 90% of the tracks in the nation? No, not saying they are all ROAR tracks but show me somebody who isn't using some sembelence of ROAR rules...

Regarding email - sure... we are looking into it. Of course, the member must realize it is their responsibility to notify ROAR of address changes, physical and email. Right now, we are offering the RevUp online at our new site, soon to be in conjuction with the .com site for members.
