Default My Blade 200srx

-It was good till 30pack...then bamm... POD (Piroet of Death) with no user fault!

Well this is a melon like (for it seams) most of the entry/mid range "Spektrum brand" stuff. But warranty fixed it, hope it's the last time!
Anyway...things i done to it!

2 months without the bird cause of a manufacter bug/defect that is still not covered/fixed is a melon story for me.

So it's my bird now, and my hands will try to fix (try) that 200srx story.
When POD comes on my watch i will try to avoid the consequences as soon as possible cause i am going to be alert now, that POD feature is somewhere locked waiting
User error or crashes aside from this!

-Get rid of the JST conectors on the Lipo/ESC and put Hi Amp Mini Deans conectors. No more 10a continous at the entry

- Notice the antena orientation...on this side!

-And the antenna orientation on this side...yep, since this uses the "joke" Spektrum crap signal...any help and tips are welcome, the horizontal antena on one side and vertical on the other side covers the whole spektrum signal, like the high dollar Dx9 or Dx6 tx's that use those dual diverty antenas.
A tip i learned in the few years of the low reliability of the Spektrum radios, that some user's got lost their cars and helis/planes using spektrum big marketing jokes that went with the wind...

-Futaba/servo conector? Goodbye!

-Avoided the conector with direct soldering.

-A "glitch buster" 5600mah 10v capacitor wired to the great rx, glued with double side tape and zip tye to to of frame. (maybe reduce cap mah's according to the test flight's in a near future)
Cap is to keep voltage spike's/brown out's at minimum or get lost completly. (it's at the rx so 3s will not have nothing to 10v rating of the cap). And adding weight is not a problem for me...since i removed that futaba conector and some wire lenght to match the cap weight!

PS:Big cap mess the handling, so i go back to a smaller one, and using a smaller makes no bad effects on flying/handling!

-1500mah 10v instead of the 5600mah 10v

And now it's time to charge the HH lipo..and hope it flys at least 30packs POD free! opcorn:

This is my stuff and i do whatever i will think it will be an upgrade for it!
I just post to show to maybe help others, and get opinions of the other more advance users to still learn everday, cause that's what happened to me!

Canopy little mods that are a must!

-Canopy orings are hard to get in and out, so i made the hole inside a little wider!

-Glued the orings into the canopy.

-Lubed the post, for more easy in and out!

Works like a charm, the in and out

-And some tape inside the canopy because we all know it will break in those places when using it! It helps to hold it together a lot more time!

For who doesn't know like me on the begining...(this is a tip)

Antenna on the radio must be positioned like the last photo...cause of the dead zones...i was always ponting it the wrong way...and sometimes exactly on the dead zone the bird fall or get erratic commands, that was strange cause the radio as a 1.7km range and at barelly 2meters they fall...

-Understand now how the signal is transmited? I learned the hard way. The photo is the right way, either right or left!

-Another way to improve big time the reception with no mods is to set the Power to USA.
Cause this are the specs:

-EU = 100mwatts
-USA = 200mwatts
-France = 80mwatts?

By default it was on EU...of course!

These are birds and the 360º angle is a PITA as intreferences so any help is welcome.

I know this is good info for newbies!

-This trim is a must...84% on throttle... don't need to use the esc gain's on throtlle like 180% or so just to keep overing at 80% of throttle stick. Yep "melon"... but there are ways to make it right...like this that work on me!

20 packs later and still good.

I've been thinking about getting one of these but hearing about all the issues, I'm not so sure. Could you post a picture or two of the heli so I can see what it looks like?

Like so much the paint job, that it needs more!

-Now the frame!

-Since the frame is out, i boil it on hot water for 10minutes to try to make plastic's not breaking. "I hope". In other rc's it works flawless!

-Need to dry out and clean, for the paint job!

-Frame painted!

-Removed the main motor conectors to solder directly, less weight to compensate the weight of paint!

-Heat Shrinked!

-Done! Let's fly "green". lol

-The hanging cables i wraped with fish line to secure them and not adding weight!

Better tail fixing then stock! Alloy holder

And here i was fed with breaking servo gears...i tried to:

-Boil the plastic gears in hot water, on a cup after some minutes in the microwave. I had good results on other rc's..so why not?

-Till today no more servo gears broken....

Not sayinbg it will fix the servos gears from breaking, but i have to try it! So far so good! Take it as a grain of salt that condiments food!

And i burned my ESC with reversed polarity cause of the Mini Deans that sometimes touch the wrong side! DAM..
But that's a good excuse for this:

-Second tail ESC. No more glitchs and rock solid with no tail wags, vibrations like stock.

-Also ditched the Mini Deans, for the XT30 that can't touch even by acident reversed polarity.

I never trusted the stock JST to transfer power to 2 brushless motors...
