Default Big Enough Heli for Camera?

I just got a GoPro HD camera, and Im looking to get a heli that would be able to carry it for some on board filming. What should I look for that will be enough to carry it? I have seen some blade cp's for sale and things like that, not looking to spend too much.

How heavy is the camera?
That will have to be considered in your choice.

That is a bit heavy for a CP
A 3s 2200 lipo weighs about that much, A 450 size might lift it...I don't think it will lift it safely though.
You may need a 500 size or bigger.

Can you fly a rc helicopter already? If not, you may want to get something to learn on first. Flying a heli is pretty dang hard.

good idea, flying a heli is hard. and your going to need something from a 450 to a 500 size to carrry anything bigger than a pencam safely, the key word "safely". Flying a 450 or bigger heli by yourself without knowing how to fly is dangerous, just look a couple of posts down from here and you can see what everyone means.

Another alternitve is to build a tri/quad copter. you can build them for a relativly cheap price depending on how much you have and how good you are at building. They are still relativly hard to fly, but are easier than a cp heli. I would put it between a cx and a fp heli if I had to depending on the size and quality of your build.

If you get really good at flying a QuadCopter you'll be able to do manuevers like these.

With enough practice someone like Alan Szabo Jr could probably fly like that...

If you dont know how to fly, get a simulator first and fly that every day for at least 2-3 months. Then, when you are ready to fly, plan on crashing 3 to 4 helis before youre good enough to fly with a camera.
Just giving you the reality before you spend money.
It sure is a fun hobby but VERY expensive.

in reality, if you want to get the thing in the air right away, buy a easystar, or a wildhawk from harbor frieght. put a 3s lipo in it and fly it for a bout a week until you get the hang of it, then toss the camera on it. I have had 3 different cameras on an easystar at the same time and the thing still flew well, its a tank for an ap plane.
