Hello. I’m completely new to building rc vehicles but do understand a lot of it. I’m looking at building a custom single wing drone that would be more like a plane than the commercial quad drones.
I saw a YouTube video of one that had solar panels to charge the batteries but I’m not sure if this setup would be lighter than adding enough batteries for the flight time I’d like.
Id like to be able to fly for 3-4 hour on a preset track with winds up to 20 miles. I’d like it to fly at a decent height and carry a camera that could zoom in enough to be able to recognize vehicles.
What options do I have or what sacrifices will I have to make?
