Thanks Julian
I'm surprised that somebody unloaded that many but he probably got good money for them. If all else fails you can't go wrong with a Nova Rossi for the money. If you really want to thin the wallet then go with a CMB or one of Al Hobb's mills.

It seems strange that they recommend a car exhaust for it on the site. Do they know anything about boats? No RPM ratings either!

Novarossi sticker on the carb? Is that legit?

I'd like to find a motor without a 180 header if I can first, he gave me a pipe for it and I'd have to move the needle, not a big deal but I guess it's only Mac and CMB that have the exhaust over the crank?
Is that front or rear?

"Go" marine engines are rear exhausted, so are the cheap "Vantex" engines.

K&B makes also one: http://www.mecoa.com/kb/marine/marine_inboard.htm
With a good MAC-pipe and at least 30% nitro these engines will scream.

Sure, I left the front box in place and cut the deck open and made sides to fit in between. The front box should stay dry if the battery box leaks.

Thank you for sharing. I would LOVE to have one of those VS1's. The natural color sponsons are da Bomb as they say.

I have a Hot Shot .45 from many years ago thats in great shape. It had the K&B 7.5 outboard on it. I sold that engine a long time ago. Can you aim me toward the supplier or the outboard unit? Is it commerciall available, or custom made?

I had a Supervee 27 that I'd previously turned into a Lucas Oil theme, but I sold it on ebay to a guy in Norway. So, other than an Impulse 26, I don't have anything of speed. Just scale stuff.

Here's a friends Hotshot45 and K&B 7.5 that is sitting in my shop.
From what I understand K&B is now owned by MECOA and there focus hasn't been on the marine stuff but you can email them and see what they do have.
http://www.mecoa.com/kb/marine/marine_outboard.htm

If you sign up for the International Waters forum (you have to wait for approval) there is used K&B stuff that comes up for sale.
Nice looking SV27!
