Futaba extra channel question
#1
i come from a time of lower powered servos and even remember when there wasn't BEC, but stupid little packs for it.
in more modern times, i've used a capacitor or whatever and plugged it into an extra port on the receiver. that's about it. nothing fancy. but everything i've used always had an aux port, at least.
looking at some of the Futaba receivers, like the s-fhss and t-fhss three or four channel units, i notice they are all channels and some may share a channel as the bind port. but there are not "aux" slots.
here's my dumb question: i don't see in the instructions of the various Futaba radios (like, say, a 4PV) where you can switch any of these extra channels to function as a traditional aux port. so, how does one do that, then? i know they make rx controlled switches and such but i'm asking about making an extra channel on a Futaba receiver act like a plain ol' aux slot.
do you just turn the channel up to 100% in the menu and then it works like an aux?
dunno!
thanks.

All ports on a receiver (Channel/Aux/Batt, whatever they are called) should have the same plus and minus power. If all you need is power, you can plug into any port - without doing anything on the radio. The ports for the channels have the signal (on the remaining third pin) as well.
