HiTec Servos

Hitec HS-5245MG VS. HS-225BB
I was wondering witch of these two servos I should get for my new mini 8T? They seem to have similar specs, however the 225 is considerably cheaper. Any thought on these two. I have savor in all my other RC vehicles, however none of my extra savor servos fit the mini.

I have two HS-7940TH servos that have bad gears in them. Will the gear set for the 7945 or 7950 fit in these servos? What's the difference with them? The picture looks identical for them.
Thanks

Yes, but you will change the gearing for the output shaft. The 7940 gearing is high speed, low torque. The 7945 is a mix of both speed and torque, and 7950 trades speed for massive torque. The only difference between the 7940, 7945, and 7950 is the gearing, otherwise they are all identical.

Repeated failures in the same application is due to using the incorrect servo for the job, not because of a reliability issue, especially when it comes to the motor. The 7940, 7945, 7950, 7980, and 7990 all use the same motor. Even some of the 8XXX series servos used the same motor.
