LRP FlowX Firmware Updates
Noticed today that LRP have the firmware updates now available along with a USB bridge V3.
Does anyone know if the Spec 2 bridge used on the Flow series is compatible with the FlowX? It does state that the new V3 bridge can be used on the older Flow ESC. |

Is that a new bridge? Or just firmware update for V2

Ok, where do you buy the V3 bridge from? I cannot locate it anywhere. #500904 is the part #

Currently there are 3 updated firmwares for the Flow X, Flow X Offroad and Flow X Stock Spec esc range. All three esc are the same physically inside and have same ratings. The only differences are:
Flow X TC spec includes: cooling fan for esc (30mm) shortened rx wire short set of fan screws long set of fan screws v4.1 firmware Flow X Offroad includes: longer rx wire no fan included long set of fan screws v3.1 firmware Flow X Stock Spec includes: longer rx wire no fan included v5.1 firmware All three updated firmwares (v 4.2, 3.2 and 5.2) only fix an issue with some motors and the sensor detection. (ie. blue led light stays on to indicate that there is an issue with the motor or sensor wire.) To fix this issue, you can update the firmware to the above mentioned and available from the LRP website or you can just turn the motor over when or if it happens (ie. rotate pinion or spur gear until esc detects sensor position) The new updated firmwares fix a bug in the original firmwares, but it is NOT required and it does not change or improve original firmwares. Hope this helps and makes sense. Thanks, Leonard. |
