Looks like you are right and someone needs to be fired... ;) Apple is forcing us to update a lot things behind the scenes for IOS 12 anyway so I guess we will get started on it now...
So what does the embarrassed Emoji look like ? |
Same issue here. I have an iPhone XS Max and RX8 v3. I updated everything to the latest version yesterday evening with a Windows PC. |

We hope to be ready for Beta testing next week. The changes to comply with IOS 12 turned out to be more extensive then we had hoped.

I just bought one of these at the track to solve a gearing issue with data logs on my IOS, big money wasted apparently as it works just as good as my 2.0, needs a laptop
|
Unfortunately the IOS app does not have data logs in it. The Android and PC versions do. Apple just makes some things difficult it seems and it has been a challenge to get in place.

After not being able to connect with my RSX pro over Bluetooth I finally got it working. I connected with the USB adapter and changed a few things with the phone app. Later I tried to bind again and the app started working with the Bluetooth connection. Running a LG V50 phone.

quick question i have a few older rx8 gen 2 escs and rs gen 2... I have the OG Hotwire and I just updated one rx8 with new firmware 255 as it said I needed to update. So I did another one and it didnt give me the message when I plugged in. But like an idiot I hit update anyway and took it from 272 back to 255 and now I cant get it to update to the newest stuff.
Is this because my Hotwire will not update past 255? If I get teh 3.0 will that let me connect to the older escs and update to latest firmware? |
Anyone |
Sent my Hotwire 3.0 in due to wires becoming frayed at the plug end.... returned in a week with a very minimal fee.
Thank you for the great customer service Tekin !!! |
Ok ive looked everywhere for answers but havent found any. I bought a used B6D. It came with a RS Gen 2. I purchased separately a Hotwire 3 so i could update and tune it wirelessly. I absolutely tried everything to get it to bind and it would not. Until i came across a thread somewhere that someone mentioned needing to have have location turned on on the android device. Once i did that it worked. This is where my new problem comes into play. When i was trying to make it work I changed the software version that was on it. It was 272. I went backwards and installed 258 after reading somewhere that you needed 258 to make it work wireless. Ive since learned it was 258 and later not 258 specifically. Ive tried to download the latest version of hotwire which should be 276. Download all seems to work fine however when i connect to the RS Gen 2 it says the current version is 258 and shows the available version as 258 also. I cant seems to get version 276 or any other for that matter. What am i doing wrong?

I believe the v258 is the latest version that will work in the Gen2.
Gen3 RX8 can use the v276. |

I experienced the same thing with a couple RS pro's. I went to "update" and they reverted back to 258 from 272....frustrating.
