And currently at a lower price too. :) Why pay more money for lesser specs?

Guys, having a hard time deciding between the Sanwa M17 and Futaba 7PX. Anybody tried both? Pros/cons? Currently run MT44 so don’t think I’d be gaining much by upgrading to M17. Thoughts please?

The 7px is just way cooler and way more user friendly compared to the m17. Once you use the touch screen you won’t want to use the m17.

Thanks for the reply. I can see your point as the M17 looks ‘clunky’ in comparison. In terms of performance though, what are we talking? Also, I have the chance to get the ‘LE’ version (but never seen one in person). Bling worth the extra money?

They're both monster radios. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.

That said, I chose the Futaba because I've used and enjoyed them for a long time, the local track/stores stock them, and I see them a lot more frequently than I do anything from Sanwa, at least locally.

If you're invested in Sanwa already; not planning on selling your old radio, you have a supply of receivers, etc then maybe that might be worth considering as a factor.

IIRC, the Futaba receivers are generally less expensive. Your high end for the 7PX would be the 334SBS and 334SBS-E (shorty antenna) at $85 (amain), $60 (rcmart). RX491 (sanwa's high end) is $100 (amain).
The base retail price for the 7px and the M17 are about the same, street price, but the 7PX creeps higher when you go retail.

Are you referring to the video?

Has anyone replaced the screen on the 7px?

I’ve just picked up a used one which has a crack in the top right corner, doesn’t affect the use of it but I’m thinking about replacing the screen if it’s not too hard.

Cheers, Mitch

Does anyone know if KO PROPO RSX3 SERVOS will work in SR mode?

Roelof 05-06-2019 10:51 PM

So this means you can use T-FHSS SR response but the channel needs to be off, or we can only use T-FHSS.

dgrobe2112 05-07-2019 09:17 AM

no.. i think the SR mode cant be used with the KO servos.. but i might be mistaken.. its been a while.. i only used the KO servos until my new CB700's came in.. i dont think i ever switched the channels to SR mode until i got the new servos..

boner 05-07-2019 09:21 AM

you can blind the rx/tx in SR mode and use none SR compatible servo, as long as the SR is not turned on that particular channel on the TX setting.
